Swedes Gone WildHow to Get There

Our annual Julebord will be held at 5211 N. Clark St. in Chicago. There's plenty of cabs in Andersonville, but just in case a taxi ride is not an option, here are some basic directions on how to get to the Swedish Museum. Of course you can always check out a Google map.

From the City

Take Lake Shore Drive north to the Foster Ave. exit (US-41 ramp), turning left on to Foster Ave. Drive approximately 1 mile west to the intersection of Clark and Foster. The museum is just a few steps north of Foster Ave.

Suburbanites

From the north
Take I-94 eastbound (Edens Expressway) to the Cicero (to Foster) exit. Take Cicero south to Foster Avenue, turn east (left) on Foster and continue to the Clark St., about 3 miles. The museum is just a few steps north of the intersection of Clark St. and Foster Ave.

From the south
Take I-94 westbound (Dan Ryan Expressway) and proceed northwest on I-90/94 (Kennedy Expressway). Exit at Kimball Avenue. Travel north (right) on Kimball about two miles to Foster Avenue and turn east (right). Proceed another mile to Clark St. The museum is just a few steps north of the intersection of Clark St. and Foster Ave.

From the west

Take I-90 eastbound (Kennedy Expressway) to the Irving Park exit. Take Irving Park west to Ashland Avenue, turn north (left) on Ashland and continue to the Foster Ave. Turn right at Foster for one block. The museum is just a few steps north of the intersection of Clark St. and Foster Ave.

Where to Park

Parking is a little crazy in Andersonville, though you should be able to park on the various side streets without a city parking permit. Try to arrive a little early to grab a spot.

Public Transportation

Take the Red Line to the Berwyn stop. Walk or take a bus west until you reach Clark St. Take a left and within a couple of blocks you be standing in front of the Swedish Musuem.
